As an international student the most valuable lesson I
have learned is the importance of being diverse and having a global vision. Internship is intended for students who
seek to broaden and diversify their knowledge and experience. I consider myself
to be exactly such a student.

I believe that Bachelor’s degree is not enough to
pursue successful career. For this reason I have decided to continue on the Postgraduate
Diploma or Master later. However, I would like to expand my knowledge and expertise. That is
why this particular program attracted my attention. It gives a great
opportunity to continue my studies while gaining new knowledge in petroleum geology.

Apart from academic aspects I have a working
experience in oil and gas organizations where I have learnt how to develop projects
of explorations, draw maps. I learnt to be patient and ready to work hard. Also
I have passed courses in Paris, France, on basin modeling and modeling of sedimentary
processes for development of high resolution stratigraphic models.

My job and internship taught me to be organized, work
in team, be responsible and gave me the sense of working environment. My long-term objective is to work in oil and gas industry
of Kazakhstan, as my country is also involved in this industry. I would like to
work in other countries as well in order to see how people work in various
places and gain experience in diverse community.

For my strengths, I can say that I am a fast learner,
social, adaptable, enthusiastic and a perfectionist person. I enjoy overcoming
obstacles and gladly accept challenges posed by academic or real life, always win
my objectives and pursue for more. I am a good team worker and a reliable
colleague, also good at problem solving and initiating new ideas.
